For further research

In this post I'm recommending you 3 webpages in which you can find not only info about my main topic, but also about art in general in the modern world.

1. ART IN AMERICA. https://www.artnews.com/c/art-in-america/

This is a magazine that specializes on people, issues, trends and events shaping the international art world. Recent temathic issues examined topics reging from digital technology in museums and conteporary Indigenous art. Art in America has earned a reputation for promoting informed analysis of the most important art movements in the United States and around the world.

I highly recommend this article in specific. It is about issues of digital artist and museums.

O' Brien, N. (2020, June 10). Media Artist Confront and Old Problem: Museums Lacking Technical Svvy. Art in America. https://www.artnews.com/art-in-america/features/problems-displaying-media-art-1202690424/

2. PEW RESEARCH CENTER. https://www.pewresearch.org/

They describe themselves as a "non-partisan fact tank" that informs the public about the issues, attitudes and trends shaping the world. This is not a webapage that focuses on art, but it informs about different issues concerning internet affecting the society.

Here is the article I recommend.

Thomson, K., Purcell, K., & Rainie, L. (2013, January 4). Overall Impact of Technology on the Arts. Pew Research Center. https://www.pewresearch.org/internet/2013/01/04/section-6-overall-impact-of-technology-on-the-arts/

3. ARTLAND. https://www.artland.com/partners

This is a company's webpage. This company specializes on promoting galleries through technology, such as VR, online-only visits or 3D models. It also connects artist and most famous collectors in the world, giving the artist an easier visibility to them.

This article explains how social media is changing art industry.

4. THE WILD PROJECT - "Let's talk about NFTs - Artist explains why they are so important and good for many people."

This is a bonus source you can check out, it is a Youtube podcast from a Spanish Youtuber. His guest is a well-known artist, which also has a youtube channel in which explains a lot about his career and opinions about polemic painters; in this small fragment he talks about NFTs, his experience with them, and how they are changing art industry in general.

The interesting part starts on the 1:06

IMPORTANT: The video is in Spanish!! but you can turn the English subtitles on. They are not perfect, I must tell you in advance, but you can get the general idea.
